Holi is a festival of colours and symbol of integrity. It marks the end of winter in India and welcomes the spring season. Believing on multi culture activity Indians celebrate the Holi across India but in their own way. People play with colours, meet and greet one another, celebrate with folk songs and dance, wear colourful dresses. The Holi is pronounced in different names at different places like: Lathmar Holi in UP to Shigmo festival, Goa, Yaosang in Manipur and more. Some people celebrate the festival for one day and others for two-five days.
Barsana is famous for its “Lathmaar Holi” and the best place to celebrate Holi in India. Originating from Barsana, Lathmaar Holi is the funniest way of celebrating Holi festival in India.
